Welp, the time has finally come that our little man is off to school...well, technically daycare, but it's at our local Montessori School, and it all just seems so grown up! Where has the time gone? If you follow me on Instagram, then you know Ethan was all smiles too! And according to his teachers, he did super well for his first day. Granted, he didn't take a nap {I don't even know how they ever get to that point since they sleep on little cots on the floor} but all in all, he was a happy camper.
We also discovered that all of the toddlers had backpacks for their cubbies {not diaper bags}. So I am on the hunt for a functional "toddler" backpack for our little man.
Numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 are actual toddler backpacks, whereas the other two are more for "big boys". I don't know if it's worth getting something smaller, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The Herschel Supply Co. brand is ultra cute for little boys, don't you think? I'm definitely leaning in more of that direction, but which one?
Help me pick one out...what's your choice?

OH and the Lucky Link Up is UP! Check it out to see who you are paired up with! :)
love the first one! A is supposed to start school next month, but the Husband wants to push it back - hes not even the one dropping her off and he cant handle it. They are all growing too quick!!
ReplyDeleteso cute! i like the last bag :) xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteI love the Hersel options! We ended up going with a PBK one ages ago and now it's getting to the point where we might need a bigger one. So excited about the Montessori thing - we are contemplating it for our little guy eventually so I'd love to hear your experience with it.

I have had my eye on the striped Herschel bag for awhile - I love it! And I love that our boys are carrying backpacks...sort of! Pretty soon, they will be hopping on the school bus and waving bye!! Ahhh
ReplyDeleteFor our recent trip, my mom got Noah #2 but in the monkey version instead. He loved it and it was the perfect size. We just kept his toys and books in their for the flight and dinners. He loved opening the different zipped compartments!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on him starting at the montesouri! I'm sure he'll do great! I never understood how they got them to nap on the cots either!
he have the fox one and it's perfect for preschool to carry his sippy, maybe a blanket and a spare change of clothes. sometimes his school folder is folded a little because it's a toddler backpack, but it's a perfect size for them to carry right now :)
ReplyDeleteI love number 1! And I agree...they are growing up WAY too fast!
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for one for C too - absolutely loving the North Face one!!
ReplyDeleteWe got one from PBK for Sydney this Christmas, as well as a matching lunch box because she will be starting 4k this year. I definitely recommend getting one of the toddler ones. I love that Sydney's actually fits her when she has it on, but next year I will have to buy one that is just a size up because we bought the smallest size because she is so small.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking from experience, walmart has the best toddler back packs for $5. Tiny, well made. Lasts for at least a year now. Don't get white. It will get filthy. This is NOT a high investment piece. Let's do a Carson run!
ReplyDeleteThese are so so cute! I'm keeping some in mind. Mila will be starting pre-school in a few months, so I'll have to pick one for her. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I can't believe Ethan is already in school. How did that happen?! I love #2, it's so cute and still so little boy. Pretty soon he'll want to pick out his own and it'll some awful Spongebob something or other. I like all your picks!
ReplyDeleteat first glance I love the fox one - but thinking of functionality I would pick the one with the robot! how fun!

I am convinced that everything little is adorable. I am loving #1 and #2. #1 looking more practical and also good for traveling.
ReplyDeleteI want the polka dot and camo one for myself!
ReplyDeleteI love the Skip Hop Zoo Packs. The little guy I nanny just turned 4 and we've been using that since he was potty trained over a year ago (instead of a bulky diaper bag). I can adjust the straps so I can wear it or he can wear it. I love the separate front zip pocket. That's where I keep my phone, keys, etc if we are going on an outing. There's also an outside drink/bottle holder for a water bottle or sippy cup.
ReplyDeleteThere are some cute bigger bags too (like the bigger sizes from PBKids) but they are too big for him to carry on his own so once he gets to kindergarten he'll get something bigger then
#6 is super cute. But for my son who's 22 months I got him a zebra skip hop with the matching lunch box. It's perfect for everyday and easy to zipper (which he does.) Maybe when he gets a little older we'll do a more grown up one like the Hershel one.

ReplyDeleteyup 100% love the striped JCrew one. Don't know if it's too big but it's definitely the cutest! :)
ReplyDeleteNumber 6!
ReplyDeleteThese are all super cute...have you checked out Mad Pax? We got Cruz the half sized one and love it! Perfect size for him - you're not going to fit loads and loads of stuff but works perfect for a toddler diaper bag and easily fits diapers, wipes, sippy a and toys!
ReplyDeleteThey are all cute! Looks like a few ppl have had the same experience as we have with the PBK ones. Charlie started daycare at 3 months and that worked perfect for him, but as he's getting bigger and he brings home artwork, sippy cups, etc it is getting a little too small so I think we need to get something a little bigger!
ReplyDeleteEthan will love his school!!
Aww, backpack shopping is so bittersweet!! Loving the two camo print ones! Can't wait to see pics of Ethan's first day of school!
