Remember my previous living room?
We had a pretty massive coffee table {read: hard baby bumper} in the middle of our sectional. It really wasn't functional as it was so large that it was hard to maneuver around...and then of course, there was the baby who hit that corner more times than I care to admit to!
As you can tell above, I'm attracted to neutrals, so I was in a real predicament when it came to figuring out what color to choose for the ottoman:
Well, I'm happy to reveal that I finally made a decision and pulled the trigger when West Elm was having a recent sale!
And we went with...
None of the above!! Surprise! But West Elm recently introduced the upholstered tufted ottoman in one, ready to order color and that made my decision super easy!
The color is actually called "pine" but it's a dark teal in person and blends in perfectly with my existing decor and is dark enough to hide any stains or smudges from a 16 month old toddler! ;)
I tried to get a couple different angles so you can see the rich color...keep in mind these are taken with my iPhone {bad blogger!} and later in the day. The square shape allows for a lot more space and actually fits into the shape of our sectional well. It's well made and was super easy to put together.
And keeping it real...you can see our dining room play room in the background!
So what do you think?! Did we make the right decision?
Next on the list is to turn the wall behind the couch into a gallery wall and we're even considering painting the wall an accent color. Any suggestions on color?
xo natasha
PS...It looks like the ottoman is back on sale...definitely worth considering if you're looking for a great ottoman.
Looks so good! And definitely think you should paint that wall a warm color thst goes well with the space maybe a warm taupy grey with teal or green undertones to keep it cohesive??
ReplyDeleteLove it! And yeah a nice warm gray would look good on the walls. You could have some fun with the throw pillows too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Natasha! I think a gallery wall would look really pretty and painting the wall a color in the same family as the ottoman.
ReplyDeletelove the pop of color!! it looks great. xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Fits in with the room perfectly. I'd say painting the wall a grey color would look fantastic.
ReplyDeletelove everything about it! We have a tufted ottoman for our coffee table as well and every time Olivia smashes into we say "thank goodness we went for the ottoman". The color is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe ottoman looks great! I'm a neutral girl too so I love the color!
ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic! I can't wait to see the gallery wall!
ReplyDeleteI love your choice!!! I "pinned" the ottoman for our new house!

ReplyDeleteOH I love it! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE it--and west elm for that matter! It looks great. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks awesome Natasha, I love the color! And it's so perfect that now you don't have to worry about Ethan hurting himself on a sharp coffee table edge! Also, I love that picture of him as a newborn in the background, so sweet :) (BTW: You totally got a shoutout on my blog today!)
ReplyDeleteI totally just scrolled back up and was like "wait a minute it's not any of these colors!" Love the new color and it does go perfect with that new blanket you bought!
ReplyDeleteGirl-- it looks SO good!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the ottoman! We have one that came with our couch and it's so easy to use like a table! I like to display a little tray on it :)
ReplyDeletelove it! This would be the perfect ottoman for our home now that we have a toddler toddling about
ReplyDeleteThe ottoman is the perfect color! I like that it provides a pop of color, but can be an unexpected neutral at the same time. Sherwin-Williams has a PB paint collection and their "Interesting Aqua" at like 50% would look beautiful there!!
ReplyDeleteLooks so great! Blends perfectly with the rest of the room and adds that extra color to pull it all together
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! and love your couch looks so comfy!
ReplyDeletei LOVE the pop it brought into the room! and the new picture of E that replaced the leaf frames is super cute too :)
ReplyDeleteNice read! I like the suggestions.
ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic! Great color.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! It looks so great and really bring the room to life!
ReplyDeleteYes yes yessss, I'm loving this! You picked the most perfect color ever...and the tufts!? Don't get me started on that love! ;)
