This past weekend, I got to be a tourist in my own town. Many people come to Tahoe to vacation, and it's definitely no wonder! Between a cruise on the boat, a trip around the lake and an afternoon at the beach...we had a blast!

Friday night, we took baby out on his first boating excursion. He did so well {despite the life jacket}...a true natural!
Saturday, we toured around the lake. Of course no trip is complete without a snapshot of Emerald Bay. This one was taken from the car!!
Ethan also got his first taste of soft serve at Char Pit. You can tell he hates it...#yeahright.
We got him a pair of Tom's and I'm officially obsessed. They are SO cute!

On Sunday, we went to the beach and Ethan insisted in sitting in his own chair. What a prince.
Of course, once the cuzzies got there, he was more than willing to play until the sun set.
And that's our weekend in a nutshell!

So cute! I love the Toms too :) Sometimes it's fun to play tourist in your own town, especially when you live somewhere as riveting as Tahoe!

What a fun weekend. The closest we've done is NYC which is 30 minutes away. And since my husband works there everyday we kind of consider it our own. I love the ice cream mustache!!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I have been dying to visit Tahoe; my mother did 100 mile bike ride a few years ago and still hasn't stopped talking about it. :) We are always having friends come visit Maine, and I am always quick to suggest "touristy" things because we never do them on our own!

ReplyDeleteI love Tahoe-I'm so jealous of where you live! My husband and I take semi stay-cations in Chicago a couple times a year. We live 3 hours away, but it's where I'm originally from and where all my family lives so every so often we skip staying with my family and spend the weekend just us in a hotel, it's nice to be a tourist at "home" sometimes.
