Weight: 16-17 pounds? I have no idea!
Health: Welp, I think we've had our first official cold this past week. Baby has been coughing and seems to have some phlegm in his throat/chest. It's pretty pitiful actually! There's nothing worse than hearing your child struggle to breathe. On the other hand, he's starting to sprout some bottom teeth, so maybe it's strictly related to teething? We've got his humidifier going, which seems to help, but any other suggestions would be great appreciated!
Sleep: Surprisingly sleeping well! Only wakes up once a night and sometimes will "sleep in" until 9am--after a quick 6 am feeding. Cannot complain. At.all.
Social: Ethan got to spend time with Cruzie and Eden this past week. He's not quite old enough to be fun for other babies...but he's almost there!
Diet: Due to some changes, he's back to breastfeeding pretty exclusively. We will give him a bottle of formula before bedtime, but that's about it. He's also loving his butternut squash and sweet potato. Not a fan of pureed zucchini though.
Clothes: 9 month or 6-12 month jammies and 6 months tops and bottoms.
Baby Gear
Love: Still loving his new bathtub and starting to get more agile in his walker. Also exploring some new teethers.
Crying: The stuffy nose has not helped...he's been pretty miserable these last couple of days.

Likes: Music! If I start dancing to music, he instantly lights up!
Postpartum: Some personal changes...but I'll talk about them later. Just happy to be spending more time with my little man!
Milestones: Little teeth are sprouting through! It feels like little razors when I stick my finger in there. Oh and baby man blows raspberries like no one's business! He's getting more mobile too. He can go from sitting to his tummy pretty easily. Could crawling be in our near future??

Yay!!! Teeth!! :) They ARE like razors!!
ReplyDeleteWhen Cam has a cough, we put Vicks on the bottoms of his feet and put socks on before bed. This has helped SO MUCH! The humidifier has also been a life changer. SIck babies are so sad :( I hope he feels better soon!!
P.S. He looks so much older in that outfit!
Awww...that first pic is priceless! Sorry the little guy is feeling stuffy. Humidifiers are the best, but sometimes bundling them up and letting them take in some fresh cool air at night helps tremendously. We had two that were asthmatic. Steam showers help too. We would turn on the hot water, let it steam up the bathroom and then sit with the girls in there...they loved drawing pictures on the steamy mirror when they got older! LOL
ReplyDeleteHi! We just got over colds in our house. I second the vicks on the feet and a little on the chest. Also standing in the bathroom with hot water running in the shower helped Caden's cough too. Hope he feels better. No fun when they are sick. He looks so grown up.
ReplyDeleteHe is just so cute! The nosefrida really works wonders for their stuffy noses. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteHe is getting so big! I can't believe it! And I agree that baby colds are the worst...I hope he feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteYour slide says 33 months! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...love these updates! Hi Ethan...sorry he wasn't feeling well. God Mila's had so many annoying colds. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteHey girl. Sounds like we need to catch up. My little man is sick. Boo. Send him over and I can take care of Ethan and Riley together!
ReplyDeleteI think February is the month of love and getting sick. Mine is sick too. We have that same humidifier running and I also agree with the Vicks on the feet and chest. And of course sleep is the best medicine so anything to help them sleep more (I've been letting mine nap on me since he likes to snuggle). Unfortunately I'm getting sick now too :-(
ReplyDeletePoor little guy! Hope that cold and his teeth come through so he's happy again :)
ReplyDeleteWe went though the same cold about a week and a half ago. I ended up taking him to the doctor.. but as soon as it ended, a tooth was there! I'm sure it's all related.
ReplyDeleteHe is way too cute-- even sick.
By the way, I'm excited to read about these "personal changes".. seems you might be hinting at cutting back on work? Or something of that nature? I'm really close to doing the same thing.. although I think the damage to my breast milk supply has been done. :( Either way, best of luck!
Poor little guy! Hope that cold goes away soon and those teeth hurry up! He is still all kinds of cuteness.....curious as to the personal changes too...Hmmm. Are you pregnant again? ;) Kidding! Maybe staying home?
ReplyDeleteAw! Poor guy! Harry always gets terrible colds when a tooth is coming through but it is cold season so who knows? Hope he feels much better soon but enjoy the cuddles while he's sick!

Oh my gosh he is getting SO big!
ReplyDeleteHe is such a DOLL! I just love when babies dance. It is the cutest thing in the world. They all seem to do the same "drop it like its hot" move!
ReplyDeletePoor Ethan, still looks cute as can be even with a cold! We are going through the same thing at our house right now! Baby vicks, saline nose drops, humidifier, elevating her crib mattress and running hot water in the shower to make a mini steam room has helped the most! Wish there was something more we could do, it's so sad to see them this way:(
ReplyDeletePoor guy...hope he feels better soon! Have you thought about an Amber teething necklace at all? I know they seem kind of "new age" or hokey but I swear by ours. Hayden's bottom two came in without us even knowing (besides a little extra drool)!
ReplyDeleteI bet crawling is coming soon...then, lookout! It's a whole new world! :)
he is so handsome and is totally filling out! Hope he feels better soon!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that little man is turning into the spitting image of his Daddy! He's so cute! Hope you guys had a happy V day! xo
ReplyDeleteHe is just so hamdsome!! Love reading these as my daughter is only a bit younger. She's starting to be more mobile too ... We better get ready!!
