As many of you know, I tracked my pregnancy each week here on the blog. I posted weekly updates, highlighted the gender reveal party, my baby showers, maternity shoot, and nursery over the 9+ months I was pregnant {you can see all the fun here}. I am so glad I stayed on track each week because I now have this beautiful story documented...well, digitally documented, that is.
While I love this blog for keeping me accountable, it's not exactly easy to flip through and I wanted to make sure to get a hard copy of my pregnancy to share with Ethan one day and to be able to go through for future pregnancies.
So I created a pregnancy book {via Shutterfly} and could not be more happy with how it turned out! It took several days and lots of hard work, but I am so glad I took the time to do it. And you know I'll be doing something similar for Ethan's First Year.
Isn't the washi tape and chalkboard background fun? I posted a picture of my bump on the left and the weekly update on the right.
Here's the gender reveal party!
Here's the gender reveal party!
And a spread from my baby shower.
I included pictures from his nursery...still so proud of how it turned out!
And of course, my gorgeous maternity photos {via Artyard}
Last, I made sure to include Ethan's birth story.
Even though it was a lot of work, I am so glad I took the time to do this...and if I was smart, I would get started on Ethan's first year book NOW. The templates were pretty easy to use...the hard part is just going through all of the pictures and text to upload. It was tedious, but well worth it. Now it sits proudly on my coffee table and I can reference back to it anytime I want. Love!
Have you documented your pregnancy in a special way?

PS...Happy 2nd Birthday to my little blog! I seriously cannot believe it's been two whole years since Schue Love was born, but I am so grateful to be here and want to thank you all for reading!!
That's so funny... I made a pregnancy book on shutterfly and used the chalkboard background too! I love looking back at it and can't wait to give it to my son too! I'm using Becky Higgins project life for his first year album since they have really cute baby editions now!
ReplyDeleteThis is on my to-do list! I love how yours turned out!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really awesome Idea! I wish I had been more diligent and created something like this that I loved. The options for in-store pregnancy journals/books is just lacking! And happy 2nd birthday :)

Was there an option to load parts of your blog onto shutterfly or did you just copy and paste? My second little boy was born a few months after yours and I totally need to do this!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect!! My best friend created one for me, and I was SO SURPRISED!!! It included so many pictures from my blog, facebook and texts and it just captures the entire journey so perfectly!! It doesn't have any of the weekly updates re: how I was feeling, cravings, etc, but the pictures speak volumes about my pregnancy!! I love that we are able to create these books now...I plan on doing one for Cameron's first year because his baby book is so hard to keep up with and doesn't include everything that I want!! Great job, Momma!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! What a treasure. And such a good idea for a gift. Happy two year anniversary! XO
ReplyDeleteThis has inspired me to finally get mine done for my little girl :) yours turned out awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome way to remember your pregnancy! I'm pinning this now... for the future, of course!
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing with my pregnancy :) I just started officially working on my little ones first year book and even though she is only five months I am so overwhelmed with the amount of photos/text that I want to include! Start now my dear trust me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I am going to do this :) Thanks for sharing, it looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove it! That's what I plan on doing with my blog posts, too!
ReplyDeleteYour book turned out so well! I didn't realize you could use so much text in Shutterfly. Something for me to keep in mind!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2nd Birthday, Schue Love! :)
Seriously adorable!! I wish I had been as diligent as you were!! Maybe with my next one..LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 2 year blogiversary! Have we really been chatting since then?!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute idea for the pregnancy book! I started a similar one on shutterfly for the 1st year, but haven't gone back since like week 18 oops! I have some catching up to do. I did some similar pregnancy stuff in her baby book, with bump and baby shower shots, but it's so nice to have your weekly updates included too!
Love this! I just made mine last week and can't wait to share it next week on the blog. The only thing I forgot to include were are maternity pictures, I was so mad at myself!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Natasha! That has got to be the cutest thing ever! I am totally pinning this post so I can remember to do this and what to include in the (far) future. :) And I feel like I've been reading Schue Love for longer than two years!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! The book turned out so nice.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the book it is beautiful!! I think I might start to do something like that for my son's first year... he's already 3 months so I'm sure I've missed some picture opportunities (those pages might be a little empty :)) but I will have to take loads of pictures these next 9 months! Thanks for the wonderful idea
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 2 years!
Love love love this! I need to take the time to do this very soon!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out so great! What a special keepsake he will totally appreciate when he is older. I don't know about you, but I am already forgetting so many pregnancy details.. it's nice to have all this journaling as a reference.
ReplyDeleteThe book is beautiful.
DARN! Wish I had seen this post before I had my son- SUCH a wonderful keepsake!
ReplyDeleteThis is SO CUTE!!! I absolutely love it. I do yearly family yearbooks, but when I have kids, I might have to make them each their own!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow. It seriously came out so incredibly beautifully. I still have to put together Mila's first year album! Ha!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! And congrats on 2 years blogging - I love reading!
ReplyDeleteLove it, it looks amazing! I need to take the time to finish mine, and seeing yours done makes me want to do it pronto:)
ReplyDeleteOmg this is awesome! I have so many regrets from this pregnancy -- one is not taking weekly pictures, and the second is not taking newborn pictures. Your book looks absolutely amazing. There are no words to explain my envy.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2 years!
It turned out great! I used Shutter fly for our wedding Thank You Cards and a photo book for my in-laws for Christmas. Now I just need to finish one for our wedding!
ReplyDeleteThis is such an awesome idea! :)
ReplyDeleteIt turned out great! Love the way it looks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful idea! I may have to take a page out of your book and do the same when our sweet little boy arrives :) Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I did some preggo posts too, but was not nearly as dedicated as you were. Great job! I've been procrastinating my birth story, it was all too raw and emotional at first I didn't think I could even get it down on paper! haha. Thanks for the inspiration to get my butt in gear!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out beautiful! I should really do this while I still remember the details. Thank you for an amazing idea :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Natasha, this is gorgeous! I love it! Pregnancy books are so wonderful to look back on. I still can't believe it's over sometimes and I have a kid now (that was the same one in my belly)! Such a nice thing to have.
ReplyDeleteToo cute!!! Happy 2nd bday!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out so well! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea!!! I'll forward it along to my mommy friends and remember it for myself whenever my little one comes along! I am so glad you started this blog 2 years ago. It's definitely a favorite for me!

Ohhh, it is gorgeous!! Happy second birthday, to your cute blog!
ReplyDeleteYour book turned out SO beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE shutterfly! I use it to make Olivia's monthly books! They are SO time consuming, but like you said, SO worth it!! :)
Love this! Gorgeous! And happy happy birthday to your blog :) I'm working on a similar book through Blurb, and will be so excited when I'm done. Great idea to include my little guy's birth story - didn't think of that! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo special and awesome to have for years to come! Will do this when I'm a mama :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Turned out great!
ReplyDeleteI love this and once I'm done with school in May I'm going to make a book! Yours looks great!

ReplyDeleteAnd happy two years of blogging!!
What a great idea Natasha! I am so sad I didn't keep everything up to date with my pregnancy but I am definitely going to try my best for Baby Number 2!! x
ReplyDeleteHey! Do you have any tricks on how you got all of that text to use up all the page? I got a free photo book offer (ends today, of course!) and so I thought I'd make C's 3-6 month book but I can never get the layouts to just let me type a bunch of stuff. But ya know, I can never pass up a photo book offer since I have yet had time to sit down & scrapbook!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!! I'm trying my best to document my pregnancy now so I can remember it when it's all over- so this is a great idea to keep in mind
ReplyDeleteHi there - I just recently found your blog and started following along!! I love your idea to make a photo-book as a keepsake, it's something you'll love forever and can pass down to your son when he's older. I'll have to share this idea with my friend who just found out she's expecting...and keep in the memory bank for me one day in the future. Thanks for sharing!! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get all the chalkboard fonts and stickers?
ReplyDeleteHi Laura! It's all through Shutterfly :)
