As we transition into fall, I'm starting to add some new pieces into my wardrobe. Here are some recent buys that I picked up at Old Navy, Target and Gap!
Per Melanie's recommendation, I bought this military-inspired jacket. It fits like a glove and has a great orange detail on the inside. I also like the it cinches at the waist to give me more of a shape.
I like this t-shirt maxi dress to transition into the fall. I can imagine pairing it with a light scarf and jacket for cooler days.
This doesn't look like much, but it's a great length for wearing with skinnies {covers the booty!} and the sleeves roll. Kind of wish I bought more colors!
This is another great transitional piece with the long sleeves. It's great right now with wedges or later with boots and a belted vest.
Another great blouse {that also covers the booty!}. I think this will look great paired with some colored denim!
Alright, so I finally gained the confidence to buy my first pair of colored denim. Since I'm still losing the baby weight, I opted to buy a less expensive pair at Target {I shudder at the size I had to buy!}, but I think it will help me feel "on trend" during this transitional time. I have to say...they have a ton of great colors and you really can't beat the price. I saw similar pairs at Old Navy and Gap as well.
So there are some recent buys! Of course, we picked up a bunch of things for baby too! Here's one of my favorites:
I mean, how cute is this? I want one in my size! ;) They have a bunch of cute colors for boys and girls too!
We're off to Minneapolis this weekend! Baby's first flight...wish us luck!
xo natasha
Let me know how the flight goes! We'll be flying with our babe when she's 4 months!
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! Love the little hooded one piece. Have a safe flight!
ReplyDeleteI love all these picks! SO cute! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Picks. I've been looking for a striped dress like that. looks like I need to make a trip to old Navy soon!
ReplyDeleteGirl, do not even stress over the Target sizing. I normally wear a 0/2, and I think I needed a 7 or a 9 in the last pair I tried on there? I almost croaked. But it's totally just the way they're made :) You look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. I cannot wait to wear real clothes again, although I know I'll be rocking myself in a corner when I see what size I'll be :/ Have fun on your trip!
ReplyDeleteI wish I felt like shopping for myself, I'm not a fan of this postpartum body! WE do have an Old Navy opening next month by me and I can't wait! Love your finds.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your flight! Love all your new finds, ON has really stepped up their game!
ReplyDeletei'm loving ON lately. they are having such great stuff!
ReplyDeleteI heart ON this year! Cute stuff. Love the heart blouse too.

Yes - I do have suggestions! Head to Nicollet Mall (which is actually a street) in downtown. You will find everything there from Macy's to GAP to Target to Neimen Marcus! Great places to grab a few drinks are Britts pub and The Local. If you want a great place to eat I recommend Chino Latino's in Uptown - may need to get reservations... If you want to do something cultural/history/touristy check out the Mill City Museum or for fun + history/culture go on a Segway tour (www.humanonastick.com) Finally, if you want to get a great hotel room for the night check out The Hotel Minneapolis downtown. I know the guy who owns it and it is fabulous! OK - that's a lot of stuff... I hope you have a GREAT TIME!
DeleteSuch cute stuff! I love that striped dress and the colored jeans. I feel the same way about buying clothes right now - hate spending money on sizes that I do NOT want to be!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the flight! Please report back and let us know how it goes. Would love your tips, tricks and advice.
you and i would make great shopping buddies my friend...i've been stocking up on similar pieces here too!!! love your new items and i know you'll look gorgeous
ReplyDeleteCute! I had two of those hooded rompers for my son last winter and they were great! So soft and so easy.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog :)
I am wearing that stripe dress today and love it! I just ordered the jacket in vest form and I can't wait to wear it WITH the dress :) Great picks love!
ReplyDeletecolor jeans are so popular lately :) I got some torquise & purple ones the other day for fun!!
ReplyDeletecute finds!
ReplyDeleteLove all your new pieces! That old navy striped dress looks adorable. I can just imagine it belted...perfect for Fall!!
ReplyDeleteGirl the Target jeans run crazy small. I had to buy a 9 or 11 I can't remember which one but I remember thinking damn, have I gained weight- but no its just their sizing! Love the stripped dress and jacket from ON. I rarely shop there but need too as I always see cute stuff from there!
ReplyDeleteI always have to buy about 2 sizes up when I buy skinnies - especially from Target - so it doesn't look like I'm wearing shrink wrap! As a mom to be, I envy how you're already looking post pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed with Old Navy these days! I just popped in yesterday and picked up a great black and white blouse. They have really stepped it up!
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to check out Old Navy more often...that military jacket is *perfect*! And girl, don't worry your cute little self about the jean sizes at Target, they run *REALLY* small for their colored jeans!!! I'm always embarrassed to bring them to the cash register...I feel like explaining "well, the sizes here are *totally* off..." (c; Cute finds!
ReplyDeleteI was at old navy today and was so bummed about that military jacket it looked nothing like it did online, and I kept asking the girl if she was sure that was the right jacket lol. xo
ReplyDeleteSeriously love every piece! So glad I found your blog!

I agree with everyone else, Target runs much smaller than other brands for some reason!
