I know this does not look like your typical New Year's Eve getup, but I thought "Hey, you're going to be a mama soon...time to shape up!" and thus this look evolved. Truth be told, I am a HUGE chambray fan {just purchased my first button-up at J.Crew over Christmas!} and while I love the look of sequins, I think it can verge on cheesy when paired incorrectly. Sequins with something more casual {like a sweater or blouse} tends to balance things out.
Nothing else about this look is low key though...I mean HELLO heels! Aren't these amazing? If on they would fit in my budget! And I know I can always depend on Miss Kate Spade for gorgeous accessories like this statement necklace and bangles. The earrings are simple and yet they still sparkle too!
Last is this gorgeous, yet inexpensive, Top Shop clutch. I'm liking their selection more and more and think the hardware on this baby really stands out!
We'll be pretty low key this New Year's Eve...just so excited to have another 3-day weekend ahead! What are your plans??
Love the unexpected combination of sequins & chambray. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! That skirt is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI agree: sequins can be awesome, but they have to be done right... too much, and you look like a glitter bottle. :) It's going to be a low-key new years eve here too, I think. But I never mind it that way :) Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteFab shoes! Happy Friday and New Year :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a combo! I love to change things up like that too! The pumps are off the hizzook!
ReplyDeleteSOLD! Totally fabulous....love your style!

I think that is a great outfit! I have been thinking about getting a shirt like that too! We are super low key for New Years. We are just having an early dinner with another family (kids included) and coming home afterwards. My kids (8 and 5) want to try to stay up until midnight. We told them they can try if they want so we will see how long they last! That's all the excitement around here! Best wishes to you for the new year!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
