Welcome to the first round of our Holiday Link Party! I am so excited to kick off the holidays with this festive series and hope you'll all join in on the fun!
Today's theme is all about the Christmas Craft! I am not the most crafty lady on the block, but I love creating unique decor for the holidays. I've always loved the idea of hanging ornaments in the window, so decided to make some cute ornaments that fit my style.
My color scheme? Black and silver! :)
This was super easy to put together and it was fun to get creative on each of the ornaments. I bought:
Clear plastic ornaments from Michaels {about $1 each}
Paint Pens in silver and black from Michaels
Silver Glitter Puffy Paint
Some glitter snow from K-Mart
Cute White & Silver Ribbon from Michaels
Fish Line
Decorative Icicles
I chose chevron {natch!}, polka dots, and snowflakes for my patterns and painted away. Don't worry about being perfect...just consistent with your color and patterns. I did about two patterns a piece. I also filled some of the ornaments with the glitter snow...easy enough!
Next I stung each ornament with the decorative ribbon {I used fish line for the icicles}. Tape them to your window, preferably underneath a curtain to hide the tape. And voila! Instant and easy window decor!
Love the cute ribbon!
Ironically...these look best at night...note the twinkling lights outside! :)
As you can see...during the day, they blend in with the light. But I think for the day, it's nice to take in the view and enjoy at night!
Here's our kitchen sink window!
Side view!
Love all the patterns!
Here's a sneak peak of my Christmas Vignette...coming Thursday! :)
And now comes the fun part!!! Hop on over to Cassie's blog, Hi Sugarplum! and link up your Christmas Craft! I can't wait to see what you've all come up with!
And here's a reminder of the line up to come!
